The world has always made a pariah,
Out of those that defy it,
The odd one out will always be the ‘odd’ one out.
They whisper, they ignore,
With hatred poured out their throats.
They ask questions that seem weird,
Not even the innocent are spared;
Must you read books all day?
Must you comb your hair that way?
Isn’t it time you went out to play?
Each human must be judged is what they believe,
The truth is the truth the way they perceive.
How can we grow, how can we fly?
When everything is being done,
To make sure the shackles stay tight.
The sky is spread out for us there,
It’s vast expanse screaming for company.
